Originally unveiled in 1922, the Tank Chinoise echoed the symmetry of temple porticos; its proportions inspired by the serene geometry of Chinese gateways.

In 2022, Cartier proudly commemorated a century of the Tank Chinoise with a remarkable reinterpretation of this timeless shape. Throughout its history, the Chinoise had fascinated aficionados with a unique case design, offering a depth that set it apart from the original Tank Normale released in 1919.

This reference introduces a fresh rectangular shape, a departure from the classic square design. Housed in rare platinum, it also showcases a striking grey sunburst dial with bold signature black Roman numerals.

Limited to just 150 pieces, this particular timepiece is in pristine condition and includes its full set of original accessories.
