The Cartier Tank was born in 1917 under the visionary hands of Louis Cartier, inspired by the geometry of Renault tanks rolling across the Western Front. By the 1940s, Cartier had risen to a pinnacle of elegance, their creations adorning the wrists of royalty, Hollywood icons, and tastemakers alike.

But even amidst Cartier's storied repertoire, the Tank Duoplan stood apart. Its secret lay within: a Jaeger-LeCoultre built movement, a marvel of micro-mechanics that allowed the Duoplan to achieve its slender, sophisticated silhouette without compromising precision.

The Bec D’Aigle lugs elevated it further. These rare, angular lugs were both a functional flourish and a sculptural statement. They lent the watch a bold elegance, a balance between aggression and grace that mirrored the audacity of the era in which it was conceived.

The 1940s were a time of very low production for Cartier, scarcity becoming an unintentional hallmark of these wartime pieces. Few were made, and even fewer survived, making this Tank Duoplan an almost mythical rarity.

Showcased here in beautiful condition and in a modern 22 x 33mm size along with the original, numbered Cartier deployant. For those who understand its significance, this is not a watch, this is immortality strapped to your wrist.

Only at the Cartierist.
