This is the genesis, the origin. Roger Dubuis First Generation, the first example ever produced of a strictly limited series of just 28 pieces.

A dramatically shaped tonneau case with bold architectural lines, crowned by a distinctive stepped crystal that amplifies every reflection. Elongated Deco Roman numerals orbit the warm salmon center dial, sun-drenched like brushed copper at dawn. The outer minute track with red 5-minute markers and "BULLETIN D'OBSERVATOIRE" inscription speaks of observatory-certified precision.

Before developing high complications for Patek Philippe from the mid-60s onwards, Dubuis spent nine formative years at Longines in the after-sales department. It was here that he was inspired by the 1951 reference 846 produced in extremely limited numbers which led to the creation of his masterpiece Sympathie model with its baroque cushion-shaped case and avant-grade silhouette.
