This Duoplan Allongée is the forefather to the more flamboyant Chinoise watches that would soon follow and a direct ancestor to the modern Libré Chinoise reference.

The dial, France signed, is adorned with numerals that are pure Jazz Age Art Deco. The deep dog’s-head hallmark on the case side speaks of platinum’s pedigree while Cartier inventory numbers establish provenance.
